#Icon001# Another great Bay Area get together!! Everybody showed up and no one got hurt, athough Smacky almost ended up in the ditch as he was trying to get some good footage for you guys #Icon007# I got there around 8:30, and right off the bat I started feeling like shit cause every soccer mom in the area had decided to use the Nob Hill parking lot to get to some swim meet. So much for my barely used parking lot pledge. Oh well!! Things got better when the General from Battlescooter showed up. Then a new face appeared, whose name escapes me, but this dude had ridden all the way from Pinole, which is a minor Herculian feat! The General had brought some stuff that we had ordered and proceeded to offer to help us install them for us, which basically turned into him installing it for us, talk about customer service! In half an hour and in a parking lot with minimal tools, the General managed to install 1 shock on Hercules and 1 variator and 1 shock on El Guapo. Amazing. The rest of the crew showed up right as we (mostly the General) were finishing up the shock on El Guapo  Then we made our way to the Devil's Mountain... Paid our $6 and raised hell...  The wildlife sent out one of their hitman after me...   We made it to the top in one piece.   Then rode back down the mountain and out the opposite entrance we came in. Quick little break while chopchop took a leak on some very expensive real estate.  Then we made our way to downtown Walnut Creek and had lunch. Smacky, always the class act, surprised us by picking up the bill for lunch, very nice #Icon012#    Ended the ride back in Nob Hills, the General had brought us some door prizes #Icon019# so we all made out with some cool shit! Can't say enough good stuff about all of the folks who came out! #Icon012# ** We'll get a video out as soon as we can combine the stuff I shot with what Smacky shot! Should be some good stuff there. |

Some creative use of a flag pole holder thing and lots of velcro. Amazingly it worked really well. Smacky is a bit more hight tech than me, he had a helmet cam that he actually mounted low by the rear wheel. We should have some pretty good stuff! The shots of the suicidal squirel came from a video capture from the front of my Ruck! #Icon006# |

Ok folks, here are some screen grabs from the videos I took yesterday from El Guapo's Ghetto Cam... Enjoy! The General showing off.. humm I mean "tuning" his Battlescooter  The scooter gang lined up on the side of the road getting ready to go back to scaring bicyclists... The couple on the Elite 80 is Smacky's Bro and his girl, very nice couple, hopefully we can get the bro on his own Ruckus soon.  The Crew in motion...  RoboMod taking a turn, fool is trying to pass me!  Some straight up Tom-Foolery! Kinda reminds you of what happened in the 50's to that town when the bikers came in and raised pure hell... except there is no town and we're raising a minor ruckus (ba dum bump...pshh)... we did get a warning from the Ranger though. Dude was nice about it though.  Going back down the devil.    Smacky messing with his helmet cam mount. This time he actually stopped before messing with it, as opposed to an hour prior when he decided to check on it while turning and almost ended up in a ditch.  Not so exciting...  RoboMod doing what he does best... the battery cover will not be pressing charges.  In Walnut Creek   |

It's true... I almost ended up in a ditch. I was worried about the angle of my viao sport cam, instead of concentrating on the road. The kicker is.. although i was recording, the camera had become unplugged at the top of the hill, so all the down hill footage was lost. Next run i'll be better prepared. We truely ran up and down the devil. It was around 85 deg. F., when we started, and 103 deg. F. when we finished. It was an awesome day. I want to thank the General for inspecting the Bay Area Battalion of Battlescooterists. And for bringing goodies for the troops. I also want to thank hippieelmo for showing up after he got off work, sorry it was too hot to do another run. o.k. now the few pictures i have. Note the Camcorder on the handlebars. that only lasted half way up freakin' satan.
Abe, Robo, Chopchop, and Spoon missed the UFO behind them.
