OK I am more the engine/electrical/computer kinda geek so I think somebody needs to come up with something to make the seat better. I know after a few hours riding this thing it kills your ass. Don't anyone recommend that lawn mower seat mod from battle scooter cause we need to keep it looking tight not all hillbilly.

You could get reupholstered with some memory-foam or a polymer-gel padding.

I like the gel padding idea. Where would you find it, other than tearing apart bike seats?

I'm meeting uo with a dude tomorrow that reshaping my seat foam, and he's recovering it with white vinyl tuck-and-roll. And I'm getting white grips too. www.tokyo-parts.co.jp/zoomania/zoomania.htmlGo to the custom seat page. Have you seen these?

I might try to make something on my school break. I think I could make a seat cover with padding in it with elastic around the outside. That way I could take it off to wash it. I'll see what I could come up with and take pics along the way ... if I do it that is. It shouldn't be that hard.

That looks good! How much did that set you back? It was $85. The dude's in San Fran, I found him on Craig's. I was stocked when I saw it. I was expecting less though. I like the inset topstich, it totally cheesed it out for me, it will go with my colors *whenever that happens- bills.* The seats on Tokyo Parts page are $85-195.

I like the white leather and it looks like he did a good job. I might prefer mine without the washboard top but it's still sweet. I'd love one in a smoke colour.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I knew I wanted the top-stitch, but I did not expect him to stich around it. He also smoothed out some of the edges of the foam. I did not like the hump in between my legs, it made it hard to tuck. It's not on my bike cuz it's in a bunch of pieces right now. The SF Classic is this weekend, so there will be pictures up by friday or saturday.

Cool looking seat! My friend and I just started some prototypes for some backrests that will fold under the seat when not used. It comes up through the gap b/t the seat and tubing at the rear of the seat bracket. We want them to have adjustable height and super soft padding. Our rough versions are pretty cool though. It lets you totally lay back on the scoot. The seat doesn't really seem to bother me when I'm using my backrest. I think it would be cool to have a gel padded seat and backrest. We'll keep working on it. The best part is that it's free (at the moment)!

Even a pad, on the stock seat, would give a little back support. I have a flat bar, so I lean forward. It would be cool to have a pullback bar, so you could get on the backrest fulltime.

I don't know how to get pics on here. I'm still a newbie at the forum talking. Someone please PM me some instructions on how to post them. I took some pics of the backrest this weekend.
POME, I live by Fayetteville, AR. It's only about 4 hours away. You're welcome to come this way and we'll have a ride.

Looks great! I love the cup holders, very functional. It amazes me what you guys come up with! What did you paint your rad cover with? Chrome in a can? I couldn't get a good look from that angle.
Get yourself a number and repost these on Members rides. Chuck
