For the past couple of days now, my cable lock key has been a bitch to remove from the cylinder, so yesterday when I got home I figured I would try out the 4 other spare keys they include with the lock to see if one of them would work better. Well none of the other keys were any smoother and the last one I tried is stuck in there good! I can turn it to unlock the cable, but I can't turn it back the other way to get the damn key out! No cable lock = no morning scooter ride to BART!
I sent an email to ONGUARD today, we'll see how responsive they are... #Icon041#

Yeah, I'm not expecting very much from them... I'll probably go out tomorrow and spend another $80 on a new lock, I can't be down for more than a couple of days! Plus today was a spare the air day and I had to take the truck! #Icon011#

Get some "Graphite" at your local hardware store. It's a graphite powder that you can lube locks with. Are you keeping your ruck outside? Moisture could be getting in your lock making it all shibby.

That's a good idea, I'll drop by my local Home Despot and pick some up on the way home. I tried gun oil and that didn't do anything...
I haven't heard anything from Onguard yet, hope these guys stand by their product.

Just dust some graphite over the keyhole. It should be cool.

Buy a Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboudit 5 feet chain and lock combo. You should never have to worry about your lock again. They stand behind their shit 100%. Even insure it w/ their lock and chain. You might have to increase your pass thru mod though.

OK! Things are looking up. I got a reply from Onguard and it is very promising. Looks like they are going to replace the lock free of charge, which would be great customer support and make me very happy! Chris,
Please reply with your address and the lock part # and/or description and I will send you a new lock.
I apologize for the inconvenience,
Chris

lightpole+truck=broken chain. send it back like that. oh yeah and take a picture . im glad i park in a garage at night and a gated secured lot in the day. that whole chain thing looks kinda irritating. moisture probably got in the lock.
