Took some pic this afternoon so I'd thought I'd throw my hat in the ring for this contest. Pretty mild mods so far. Cargo net/cooler combo BBS side stand Honda batt box logo chopped rear fender...stiill not cut to my liking 50 RR stickers like zeus has. Still to do: Horn relocation Turn signal relocation (and remove brackets) Reshape rear fender Rear shock Chuck

Spoon....yeah, i was wondering what to do with that reflector thing. Long term I'd like to redo the whole tail/turn assembly. Not as wild as Pome's but something smaller.
Lisalovesit... I didn't know what the plants were called, thats the Mrs area, but the color looked right. Thanks for noticing. Pain in the ass to mow around, on the hill and all. chuck

You could take the reflectors off, and switch them with the signals, or if you want to keep reflectors on, to be somewhat legel, there are those small reflectors for license plates.
I know you asked spoon, but what the hell.

I know you asked spoon, but what the hell. How dare you reply on my behalf you damn dirty mofo!! I just took a hacksaw to it and used some paint to stop the rust. I keep telling myself that I will eventually put something of reflective value back there...

I've been thinking about cutting the rear fender for a while. On mine I want to cut the rear and front to come to a nice, curved point. Like a custom chopper. I think that would look mean as hell. I like the idea of cutting it, but not of getting mud slung on me. Do you ride on dirt/mud at all?...If so, does it get your back dirty??? Dig the batt. box stickers, and the 50RR. Those are cool.

I haven't had the opportunity to try out the chopped fender in any slop yet. It was a concern for me too, but after taplkin with some of the others who've done it, it doesn't seem like a big issue. I'm goin to redo mine an take a little more off and "point" it such as you suggest. Thanks to all for the encouragement on my little project. Chuck btw best mod so far....not in above pics

Yeah, the helmet issue......
We both have them and use them more for riding the 4 wheelers in the woods to keep from gettin poked in the eye, but you're right, the street is where they will save your life. The buckets we have are more the full face motocross style that just doesn't look or feel right on a scooter.
I'm looking at getting different helmets for both of us, more of the open face/top of the head style, not sure what they are called.
There is no helmet law in Illinois, but I'm already breakin the law cause she's not 16 yet so.... any suggestions would be appreciated.
I know, How about a "members helmet" thread. Thanks Chuck

I know with my nephews the issue of wearing a helmet for skateboarding/biking was solved once the parent let them choose a helmet for themselves. Have a father daughter day to the motorcycle shop and let her pick one out! I'm surprised your wife's not kicking your butt over it! BTW, at this rate she'll be on an R6 by the time she gets her permit.

BTW, at this rate she'll be on an R6 by the time she gets her permit. R6? A Yama? no, i think 600RR would be a better choice, keep the honda family in the family. Chuck, great pic. of your daughter. I hope you have a shotgun to fend off the hordes of little boys that will soon invade your life. As soon as my karma abilty regens you get some.
