So is there anyone around this site who's thrown away their training wheels and moved up to the Big Ruckus. If size isn't important why am I so popular where ever I stop?

I drive a Rebel too. No offense but I think the big Ruckus doesn't look as cool to me. If I'm going to drive something that big I'd rather just drive a motorcycle.

Thanx 4 the nice welcome and quick replies. I can see that I'll always get quick and sensitive replies to my postings and it's nice to see that you're all so PC. Now what's with this scootercannonball'06 from Portland, Or. to Portland, Me.? I'm sure that there must be someone who's going to try and show the Vespa crowd that Dagos no longer rule the roads. Anyone interested in a Team Ruckus? I know that you kids with the training wheels might find the ride a little beyond your abilities but the BRs can eat Vespas for lunch. Even though eating Italian is a little heavy at that time of day.

I was all set to buy a big, but when I actually went to look at it, I settled on the little fellow. It just didn't seem right in yellow. I still think I'll end up on a big, just hoping it changes color for 06.

That ScooterCannonBall 06 looks pretty hard core! You should definitely enter the big ruck in there and represent! www.scootercannonball.com/route/RouteMain.htmAs far as the big ruck eating pasta, I'd be carefull if I were you, at least in the SF scene there are quite a few really fast lambrettas that would put the BR to shame. You're much better off making friends with them than trying to show off because you think your 250cc is the shit.

bruckar, welcome, we've already pitted a big ruckus versus vespas in some drag racing, and will probably do it again this weekend. A cannonball run is a big commitment, most people don't have the time, money or leather ass required to take on such an endeavor. If you want to represent the ruckus community you'll be the hero of said community, and we could try to provide support for you.
p.s. where are you located?

Short rides are for little scooters. I'm in Michigan today. tomorrow I'm heading for ND. via 2. You know, just cross the Mackinac Bridge, turn left on 2, put the cruise control on, go back in climb back in bed and sleep till you get to ND, or Montana or Seattle or wherever. 2 is one of Americas best kept secrets. It goes from the bridge all the way to the greater Seattle area. I will then start thinking about heading for Florida as Michigan is no place to be in the winter and I hate riding in snow.

Are you cruising the country in an RV with the Ruck in the back?

Bruckar, forget ND, head on down to I80 and head west. Join the bay area ruckus crew for our invasion of the pasta scooters S.F. classic this weekend. If you leave now you'll make it in time to meet us on Sat. Of course you'll be hella tired from the drive.

Thanx 4 the invite. Gotta go 2 a moho rally in Minot. I don't suppose it's the hotbed of the known world of Ruck but you know how one gets the urge every so often to look at the latest goodies you didn't know you needed. Like going to the Honda Hoot in Knoxville. I did that this year and while I'm sure I was the only Ruckus, big or small, to attend. I didn't think I needed anything and came home with a small airhorn that will peel the paint off Kenworths, a gel pad seat, a stereo system and a LED light kit for my turn signals. Not bad for a guy who just went to ride,eh? Speaking of riding I proved to a lot of those sport bike riders that they'd better not get too cocky when around the BR as it is one impressive corner carver. Deals Gap has been conquered by a Big Ruckus in far from the slowest time that day. Showing up at the Vespa doings in SF sounds like a fine idea. I'll start watching the events board and try to make some of your goings on.

Bruckar....welcome bitch! .........So I am with spoon...how are you getting around the states man? I mean if you doing this all on the BK...then U R da Man!!!! I have my BK, and an 03 Touring Harley...w/33k miles on it in 2 1/2yrs and have been in 16 states with it. Rode all 16 states. Can't picture doing it on a BK. Well I started out in 03 on a small Ruck....sold this year when I acquired the BK. I did put 600 miles on the little guy.....lots of fun. I miss it...but the BK is awesome...the power, BALANCE, cornering etc.....what I like the most is the reaction it gets from people. I ride it to work about 4 times a week....I always get at least one if not more people asking questions..or laughing there head off at my BIG ass on this funky looking machine. Ride safe my friend and welcome to this place....it can be addictive.....

Hey Lowpez, What is a touring Harley? I thought they were to be seen heard and never driven farther then the next bar. Just kidding but I think the old joke about buying a Harley and becoming a member of the Harley Owners Group while buying a Honda and becoming a member of the Honda riders Association has a bit of truth to it. I'd probably own one but I don't like to dress like everyone else. 40 dollar t shirts are a bit rich for my blood. Yes I'm cruising around the country in a motorhome with the BR on back. Bought in Florida in Jan. and have about 4000 on the odometer. No complaints so far and I agree that it's the best conversation starter. I've heard "What is it ?" so many times I've come up with the stock answer that it's what happens when you cross a 2 wheel HumVee with a lawnchair on steroids. Yes I am planning to ride the scootercannonball next year and have blocked time for it. Sure would like to find others to make a team effort against the Pasta Gang. I've signed up my girlfriend to drive the support wagon. My motorhome with a trailer full of tools and parts. If Harley Davidson built an airplane would you fly in it?

I'm just getting the hang of this computer age so I'm a little slow on posting pix and the likes. In fact yesterday was the first time ever for sending a photo over the net. I'm using Adobe Photoshop Elements 111 and I sent a couple of test pix. One went thru and one failed so I guess I'm batting 500 for my first time up. As soon as I get back from SD. I'm going to figure it all out, I hope. I'm told Photobucket is a good way to go also so I'll get the hang of it then there'll be no stopping me. How many pix of Minot, ND. would you like?

I use the photo bucket pic hosting service...free photobucket.com/very easy to use, and you need to have your pics on the web ie:photobucket, or else you won't be able to post to this site. BTW, your living my dream. Ive got a Coachman RV and never have the time to really travel for weeks..only weekend or 5 days max. I would relly like to see how you've got that BR on your RV...rear motorcyle carrier I suppose. Glad to have you on the Total Ruckus board Chuck

hey bruckar, welcome to the site! i've had my br for 1150 miles now--i do love it, but the slow take off bugs! she picks up after a few beats, but if i need to jump out ahead of a car, i know not to do it. many other scoots have a faster take off, but in the long run, the br is very strong.
