Hey Folks, Here's a question one of you might have the answer too. As you probably know I'm slowly doing the Dio fork conversion on my ruck but I noticed something yesterday when I was getting ready to take my rims in to get the rubber changed over. The stock rims have a bead width of 3.00inches as pressed in the side of the rim. The Dio rims have a bead width of 2.15inches as stated on the rim. Will this be a problem if I try to mount the Kendas on the Dios? I know Smacky aka Foo changed over to Boppers when he changed over to the Dio setup, so I checked some of the sites that sell them and I couldn't find any mention of bead width, just the usual metric sizing ratios. I really don't want to have to by new rubber as the kit has cost me enough and I prefer the mixed performance of the Kendas for the type of riding I do. Am I just nuts worrying about nothing? Any advise would be great!

no you are fine! tires are meant to be mounted on slightly different wheel widths. it will look bulgier with a more narrow rim. that would explain why all the jap bike tire/wheels look the way they do. by the way... i always assumed dio wheels were the same width. interesting. man, i can't wait to see another north america ruck with dio gear! you and smacky are my heros! paint should be done today, but i'm leaving for the weekend. sad i am.

The bulgier look, yah, right, now that you mention it, all the Dio rims I've seen in all those Jap pic sites, all the tires look super bulgie!!!! I love that look!! Kick ass! They're going to look better than I thought!! #Icon021# Thanks Pome!! Have a great weekend! Ps I can hardly wait to see the pearl! #Icon038#

Fat tires are sweet.

Different question. With a taller tire, wouldn't you get more speed, although your time to get to said speed would take longer? If so, any tires available that would fit?
