Yeah, lots of fun, but not as much as the Mount Diablo ride or Scooter Rage. The location for the show was kinda weird, not nearly as good as pier 30.

The giant group ride through the city was crazy. I've never seen so many scooters, to be in the middle of this pack is unreal. The noise and smell of 300+ scooters is overpowering. There's no way I would ever want a two stroke, the power would be nice, but I could not live with the noise and that smell. I had a major headache within the first five minutes. But being in this giant unstoppable scooter wave was a great experience.

Another exciting moment for me was when we hit the first real hill, and El Guapo is just keeping right along, the first 20 feet of the hill go by and I'm passing vespas, so I'm fucking thrilled, and then I look up and I see Vespas coming back down the hill, backwards trying to kill me. The poor Vespa people are stalling their ride on this incline, in the middle of a scooter stampede and they can't stop from rolling backwards down the hill. It was unreal, people are falling over, it was like salmon spawning season, whith the weak salmons dying and keeling over while trying to go up a small waterfall. And I'm dodging this bastards in slow motion at 15MPH. Crazy!!!

And then robomod and smacky decided to hold a conference during the ride! Luckily they both stayed upright, but Smacky lost his left mirror.

So that's about it. It was nice to see everybody again, our next ride will be a real ride which will be nice!

Thanks Chuck! I was surprised it actually came out well, I might try to do a high res version.

My video fotage isn't that good this time around, I tried a new camera mount and I thought it would work well, but there were a lot of vibrations and this strange sound feedback. Hopefully smacky will have great fotage like last time.

I was in the front/middle of the pack so I saw the rolling back, Abe and smacky were towards the back and they said that when they got to hills, it was like a Vespa mine field with people on the ground looking at the sky, fucking crazy! I think smacky said he got some of that. I don't think anyone got really hurt so it all worked out in the end. ... just lots of bruised egos

yeah lopez, Lola rocked on the hills, i pretty much stayed in the first quarter of the group, so i missed all of the falling down action. today's ride was even better, we were able to stretch out, hit the ocean, scenic points overlooking the city, and golden gate park. no hills, no accidents.

While at the custom show meeting place, our scoots got alot of attention. One of the guys who was excited by the ruckus just happened to be a guy I went to high school with and haven't seen for 20 years. The picture below is one of his scooters. This one happens to be a stripped down, remade lambretta 190. On the dyno it made 22.5 hp and got up to 91 mph. I see a ruckus in his near future.

No, but he entered the slow race, came in third. He's having engine problems, thinks it's compression related. He still smoked all of us, except uphill. Even my fat ass beat him up the steep hills until he rejetted in the middle of the run.

Hehe, no, there's only so much you can do with 50cc's even for Abe, these guys were pulling serious numbers.
