Color me green with envy... is that a black four door escort!! J/K That pearly white came out beautifull! Wirring looks clean, the integrated front blinkers looks xtra clean, you've got to do a write up on that. The Yosh exhaust will look bad ass and throw a set of boppers on there to complete the look! #Icon012#

Very nice. I love the integrated front signals. Did you need a resistor to get them to work properly or was it just a simple install. Also, do you know the part number or at least the brand?
How did you get a hold of that euro oil dipsitck? I didn't know anyone was selling them.

Man that looks soooo good. You did an outstanding job. Got it back together quick too. Question? Did you make that exaust heat guard from scratch or does someone make/sell them? I've got some diamond plate at home and the same thought occured to me, but I wasn't sure if I could get it to curve and fit right. Now you've given me the strenghth to try. Once again, awesome work man. Chuck

ok, ok i will also reexplain in the "custom lighting thread" i started but here it goes. ok to make the led lights blink i first was going to measure the resistance of the two blinker bulbs then throw resistors in parallel with the leds. then i was like, fuck i got 4 light bulbs here that are resistors themselves. so i went a little ghetto but it friggin works great. what i did was remove all the blinker light bulbs from their housings (4 of them) then on the positive tip of the bulb i soldered a wire to each bulb. then i hooked these wires up in pairs so now their is two main wires each going to two light bulbs. then to ground the bulbs i just stripped a piece of wire of its plastic shielding about 8 inches or so. i wrapped this piece of wire around all the bulbs, taped it all off and left plenty of shielded ground wire left. so now what you have is four light bulbs that are taped or zip tied together. remember not to tape over the actual glass bulb or the tape might melt on long blinker intervals. so now you have a clump of 4 bulbs shaped like in a square with the glass of each bulb touching each other. does this make sense? also, coming off this "resistor pack" is two positive leads (one for left and one for right blinkers) and one ground wire. now this little bundle of 4 bulbs are the resistors to trick the blinker system into thinking that stock bulbs are being used. now, where to put them. there is plenty of room right on top of the battery. after taping the bulb bundle really good i zip tied it to the bar that holds the battery down. so now you have 4 bulbs bunched together attached to the top side of the battery. now the negative wire goes straight to the negative side of the battery. this is the closest and probably best place to ground your bulbs. just unscrew the negative battery screw a bit and shove the wire under it, then tighten the screw. ok so since the new front led blinkers are attached to the battery box cover, you need to use those crimp connector thingys that you can slide in and out of each other. i forgot the name of the little fuckers. this is so you can easily disconnect the lighting when you remove the cover. ok so now you crimp the male slide connector thingy to the new led blinker wires. then, with the female side of the connector you combine one wire from the bulb cluster with one wire coming from the positive blinker signal from the ruckus. this might sound confusing but it is really simple. basically you are hooking up the new led lights like normal, but jacking in parallel the stock light bulbs which are now activated when the blinkers are turned on. since led lights take such a low current, there is no problem with burning anything out. honda makes sure that it can handle a very little amount of extra resistance. now for the rear led lights just hook them up same as usual, because the front and back are linked parallel. so now when you use your blinkers there is a cool glow that comes from the inside of the battery box because two bulbs per side are actually being lit up. i know that this is a little ghetto, but it actually works very well. best part is that when something burns out, you still use stock ruckus shit to replace it. a bulb burns out, just solder it in, if the blinker relay burns out, just replace it. i can understand why people have had problems with this situation, but sometimes the solution is the most simple. i hope this helps and wasn't too confusing. again, i will reexplain with pics in "custom lighting" when i have a chance.
oh ya and chucktuna, some guy sells those muffler guards on e-bay. i don't think he's had any up there in awhile. i wish i had his info still on ebay, but i bought it longer than 60 days ago. sorry. ya know, if my yosh pipe comes, you can have the muffler guard. just come down to our next mississippi nights show down in lecledes sp? landing by the arch. that's my only stipulation! #Icon021#

lol, ya was that meant to be a hint? well it was more like reading my mind. polishing that thing has been on my mind for awhile, but i've been going back and forth between polishing and chroming. either way, i've got to get that stupid looking air box bracket thingy grinded off of there. it annoys the shit out of me to see a bracket sticking way out with a threaded hole attched to NOTHING! reminds me of yound teenage sluts, but that's a whole 'nother story. anyway, i'll probably go with polish. chroming is just way too fucking expensive. thanks for the hint! #Icon018#

You could polish it yourself in an afternoon. If you don't have a buffing wheel, they are like $40, for a cheap one. And if you polish it once, you will have to polish it again.

Quick Question: Did you sand off the stock paint before you started priming or did you just grind the brackets etc off and drill the holes (licence plate) and then start spraying primer and sanding that? Once I get a bit more $$$ I'm getting the racing brace, fuel cover, lowered seat etc and then I'll get it all painted perhaps a metallic smoke/charcoal. I'd love to get the kickstand too but it seems to be that if you add the racing brace and the kickstand you'll have no where to put your feet as pegs are no longer an option.
