I bought a 2003 Ruckus from a dealer with only 674 miles on it. It had one previous owner. The other day and 400 miles later I noticed my speedometer and odometer weren't working. I checked the nut on the backside and it came undone from the housing, leaving the speedo cable sticking out. I thought these type of things come from the factory really tight on the housing. My next thought was "did the previous owner loosen the nut for a while, drive the scooter for 10,000 miles the hook it back up and sell it?" Is this possible? Is it possible for the nut to come loose from regular driving? It only has 1074 miles on it now. I don't drive on bumpy roads. Any suggestions?
