Got a rough ruckus looking for advice

Bought it pretty cheap previous owner did not have it running I'm going through it now it didn't have an airbox so I got an aftermarket air intake and am going to re jet the card for it if it needs it. Too the belt cover off today and am wondering if I should clean it up under it and if so what's your suggestions?
