Back story, I got my ruckus 4 years ago, I ride to work every day 27 miles each way. rain snow and shine.
Problem, This last fall it started having some problems, when the ruck heats up too much. it started to kill the engine mid ride. I would pull over and let it cool and the continue. Started once every couple rides. then began to become more frequent. Now its every 4-5 miles. I gave the bike a tune up new belt rollers spark and oil. I noticed that the variator was getting grooves in the metal. so I got a new one. The problem continued. I just replaced the clutch pads. and it runs way better. but half way through a 12 mile trial ride it died. only once though so better. but im stuck on what to check next. any advice would be appreciated.
Bike 2014 Honda Ruckus Stock engine 8g weights in variator 38 82 jets in the carb.

I’d give the coolant system a good flush and run through.
