I just found this board today! I was on the old site from around 06 to its unfortunate demise. Hopefully it isn't too weird to show up and try to sell something in the first post. I have a parts bike that I would like to get out of the garage. It's a 2006 (I think) Ruckus that I picked up a couple years ago not understanding the laws in my state which requires a tag. I have no title so no tag. I have been hoping to stumble over another scoot (Met or Ruckus w/ blown motor and clean title) to combine with this one but it just hasn't happened and now I want to clean out the garage a bit.
This Ruckus was a stolen recovery and purchased by the previous owner at police auction. No title. No VIN on frame, thieves knew where to look and removed both (even more reason it can't be registered). She's ugly. Black spray paint over the original red but fairly complete. I bought it non-running and got it running with a carb clean and a new fuel pump. The problem I didn't solve is the battery dying after a day or two without running or charging. This was a couple of years ago and I haven't messed with it since I figured out the laws. As I am not likely to get back into the project, I'd like it to go to an enthusiast. It's pretty complete, except for the worthless frame and a missing battery.
I am located in Memphis, TN and would like to get $400 for it. Includes a brand new pre 06 wiring harness, new battery box cover half (red), extra CDI, and belt.
