Are the fuel pumps known to fail regularly? Not sure mine is working all the time. After finally getting my ruckus started and running pretty good after about 5 miles of running hard it started cutting out again until it finally died. I let it sit a couple of minutes and then turned the key on and heard the familiar click click click of the fuel pump. The unit finally started after several tries. I nursed the throttle all the way home (about 2 miles) and it died again pulling up in the driveway. Is there a test for the fuel pump? Is it suppose to run full time while the ruckus is running? Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Tom

So the only test for the pump is to remove it and test it on the bench, which is what I did. The familiar clicks I was hearing didn't tell the whole story. It might of sounded like it was working but it didn't pump enough fuel to keep the carb bowel full. I found a new replacement on Amazon for just $17.99 with a two year warranty. Honda wanted over $60.00 for the same pump. Replaced the pump along with a new filter that came with the pump and away I go. Works great, now I have to figure out why the electric chock doesn't work.
