I know this has come up many times, but I finally got around to checking the oil level in El Guapo and sure enough it was way over filled!! Used the straw method to get it back down to a reasonable level and it made a noticeable difference in responsiveness. I also added the spark exciter I got from Abe, very easy to install... no noticeable difference, most likely better gas mileage.

another way to remove oil easily is to use a turkey baster and slide 6 inches of rubber tube over the end to reach down into the engine. it's cheap, you can get one at ANY grocery store, and you can reuse it time and time again! TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT!!!

I had heard that $5.00 an hour lot boy that doest the Ruckus check ends up putting in a full quart on most of them! Was shocked when I did my first oil change that it was filled to the correct amount! Still not sure about the oil in the rear end though. There is nothing in the manual about the drain/fill plug back there and can't remember if I have seen any tech info on this board or the other in regards to it. Any input out there on this? Im sure someone else has noticed that plug.

I checked mine this morning and it is also way overfilled. I just did the spacer/shave mod, got 40 mph tucked, 38 untucked, hope to get something more out of the oil prob. I am pushing a 6'2", 225lb body around, so I am very happy with this. #Icon021#
