I've noticed that spoon cut off his rear fender straight across. Or did it come that way? Mine's got this stupid little duckflip lookin thingy on the back. And Pome's is gone alltogether. I like the look of no fender but what about the slop on your back? Spoonkiller's is probably a good compromise. What did you use to do it? Besides common sense. Chuck

chuck if you "bob" the rear fender or cut that little thingy off, the fender then only protects mud and stuff from the underside of your cargo pan. both spoons fender and no fender (like mine) protect you the same. if you have a license plate, the plate and tail light fixture do all the spooge blocking. so basically stock is best, bobbed or no fender are the same, then a removed tail light and tag bracket provides little protection. i've just shaved the whole tail light bracket off for a sweet custom look, and so a lot of crap will get thrown on my back. oh well, that's the trade off. i'll post more about plastic cutting. to bob the fender is easy and makes it look cleaner. just take some masking tape and tape across the fender as a guide where you want to cut. then use whatever to cut the plastic. the plastic is pretty soft so it cuts easily. metal chears are good, or even a dremel cut off wheel. then to smooth the edges use sand paper starting with a rough grit then to a finer grit to smooth it out. it's a simple and effective way to change the look of the rear end. hope this helps!

Chuck Hey Chuck, I used metal shears to cut off the retarded appendage and then a metal file to smooth out the cut followed by some 600 grit wet/dry sand paper. I got a couple of scratches on the surface of the fender so I might go back and sand the whole thing down... I'm not worried about water or mud, I don't think it will be that much of a factor where I live. Anyways, IMHO, this is a nice easy mod that makes the bike look a lot better. Plus less weight and drag so it's faster too... #Icon007#

Thanks for the info. Definately a cheap mod to do in the near future. I just didn't want to fuck up a good fender without a little knowledge first.
Like everything, I'll take some pics when i do it. ( my wife hates that camera in the bedroom)

Thats one short ass bed. I drive an s-10 and can still close my tailgate w/ some room to spare. Must be a crew cab or some Asian truck.

Spruce magoose was stalked by a BWS, the BWS asked "hey sprucy, can i have some extra parts suga", Spruce Magoose whiped back "You want some extra parts bitch, while your riding lean over and grab them off the road" and then went on his way finding a met.
What a story.
