o.k. i'll try to check out the route on friday. Cool, I'll try to get a print out of what I have in mind, I'm thinking we should add a ride down the Castro for good measure! This may be too ambitious

o.k. boy, look--crooked street OR castro--i'm not trying to miss the ride--my vote would be castro, i kinda think it's more on the way back, but whatever works is good for me. btw, i've a bad sense of direction, so email me with specific route info. and thanks--i'm totally psyched!! #Icon014# #Icon014# #Icon014# #Icon014# #Icon014# #Icon014# #Icon014# #Icon014# #Icon014# #Icon014# #Icon014# #Icon014# #Icon001# #Icon001# #Icon001# #Icon001# #Icon001# #Icon001# #Icon001# #Icon001# #Icon001# #Icon001# #Icon001# #Icon001#

oh o.k. i guess we were posting at the same time--good map, even i can follow that. So what are your initial thought... still think it's too ambitious?? I have no idea what kind of hills this is all going through, I'll have to run it by some of the guys at work... As long as we're back by noon for the other big ride then we should be OK..... I think If we need to shorten it, we can cut out the Lombard street madness and cut straight across the city on Geary. That would probably shorten the ride by a third... but seeing all those Ruckuses down crooked street would be neato!

cut the Lombard st. stuff would get my vote--it's a congested, touristy trap at any rate, besides we can do it another time--isn't there another scooter rage XX in sept.?

It should be shorter, but we should hit lombard street, and skip the coast. The bigger rides will go along the coast. And, there is the night ride as well as the next day, I don't want to get burned out.
*edit*- I just read batgirls request for the coast, how about skip lombard, but do the coast. I'm not sure if it's this weekend, but their might be a scheduled trip UP lombard street. Spoon, don't worry about your permit, The night ride will be safe. And, my bike is not even currently registered like half the bike that are going to be there. Will there be a tech demo by Abe? I may have some jetting issues.

hey robomod and spoon--i'm all for keeping it short, i agree, with 4 rides this weekend, we're sure to do the coast. let's skip the ocean, keep lombard and the castro , and be at the meet in a timely fashion to hang a bit before taking to the steets in utter madness. 9:30 could work then--give a girl time to get pretty #Icon035#

OK that sounds good. I'll photoshop another map when I get home! Robomod, I'm sure Abe will jump at the opportunity to tinker with your jets! (that sounded weird ) I still haven't heard back from Smacky, he may still need his CDI installed, so maybe we could do all of that before 9:30, if not then we can do it during the custom show in the afternoon. That will be good learning for me! #Icon012#

What's up stranger! Early is always good for me, I emailed Abe yesterday to tell him that we were back to Saturday instead of Sunday. I'm also debating whether or not I should get a CDI now and put it in on Saturday with yours...

I'm sure we will hit the coast and lombard some time this weekend during a bigger ride. Let's keep it short, maybe more photo spots.
The CDI install is pretty straight forward. The BSS demo helps. If we meet at 9am, do the cdi's- 1 hour, and jet my carb- 1 hour, then it will be 11am in no time. I know I will have a few questions. Is shimming the needle hard?

I'm just jealous cause you guys have someone to ride with. I think I'll have to start a Southern Illinois Scooter Club and invite every scooter in the county so as to have enough people to call a "group". I'll have to come up with a catchy name??? Oh well, never mind.....you guys and gals enjoy yourselves and be safe. Chuck

Chuck Nice, I'm glad there is some sort of scooter event in your area. Even if it's a small group it should be a blast. I've seen in scoot mag, events that in area that I have never heard of still get a huge turnout. The classic scooter people come out of the woodworks for scooter events.

Hello my brothers I have linked to this and the SF Classic web site www.sanfranciscoclassic.com/ If you click printable version at the bottom you can get all the info in a readable form. Everyone needs to show up because I arranged a brawl and we are taking on 40 crazy Italian scooter dudes. It looks like the Battlescooter won't be painted in time for the ride because I've been pumping iron and practicing my KungFu chop. I'm going to do my best and make time to get the Battlescooter running though If anyone wants a shirt or sticker let me know and I'll bring one. I'm not bringing any loot this time but the stickers and shirts are on me. Just Email your demand. That also means if you are bringing something to install let me know by Email too, so I know how early to show up. Are we going to have theme or what? I'm not wearing a dress.
